Unless you're an IOS expert or have paid network IT, skip this otherwise capable router - Hexadecimal - North Carolina
I feel a little 'torch having bad thing, featurewise, is a fantastic entry level small business router and that might work well for an expert in IOS or business with an available network consultant IOS, Cisco packed but unfortunately that there is a subset of their superior machines, but without being able to simplify the management of the machine.

I bought this router because I needed to set up a VPN connection back to a reliable home office. I still missed thisrouter, as the product of Cisco IOS is used for management unless Cisco has exposed the wide range of "wizards" available for use in the product via Express SMD SMD and more advanced. Big mistake.

SMD Express certainly has not been well tested - not easy to use wizard-based setup should never be build errors and warning dialog boxes with no text on first use. Also should not give error messages involving invisible aspects of the system (notice that the actions will causedeletions of connection when the software deliberately concealed the existence of connections is a particular nuisance).

Not being able to get something working (other than within DHCP) via MDS Express, I turned on the question SMD full of worms and a set of "wizards" that did not get the job done. Despite claiming to perform "validation" is easy enough to corrupt the router via SMD, and a bit 'of its behavior is intuitive. The file "Help" is primitive, and not a little, but mostlysay the obvious (overdescibes the end of the property to naseum text boxes).

Wizards fail to provide something that works well as the characteristics of highly encapsulated lower end router as the WAN side DHCP and often do so only half the work required to make reality their function wizard to work. They are also perfectly able to generate command errors, and only attempt to validate the input at the end of the wizard, once you try to send commands to the router.That will often cause the changes to go into practice, but will not stop the software from you several times asking if you want to cancel or retry the command set - all without any message that describes correctly * * because the set command failed.

So, this router seems to work for you, and you have experience or IOS, a network administrator, or a lot of free time and desire to learn IOS could be a good buy. For everyone else, this router will be dwarfed by the price cost of yourtime or the time a consultant to establish and maintain, and you're better off trying a SOHO router from a company's first consumer-oriented networking.
