This was an update on my wireless-n band added to my home network. In fact the installation is really easy, has three levels of security and can operate on two separate bands at the same time. My modem and router are upstairs in my office, but I like to wander the house and are usually downstairs on a laptop. Not really sure I like the magic software that accompanies it, but I'll give it a shot. My wife was playing with wiring and accidentally unplugged the router, it didactually take some 'time to reconnect and I had to re-enter the security code but overall I am satisfied with the router. As I said, I wander the house and have no problem with the lower bands. The group N has great speed, unfortunately, also has a very limited range. My son stuck his desktop for bandwidth N. He is separated by a wall about 15 meters from the router. initially had a small connection problem and then called me and showed me a sign of moderate means 3 bars,At this point in time was not affected. However, once he started doing things actually stayed the 3 bars, but the performance was really good. This is a faster connection, but its range is at its maximum. The group N, as far as I can see is pretty much the same wireless environment or the next room over. I can not linked through a few walls and a floor that I would otherwise. Bought this in a gold box deal and are satisfied with the product and the price.

I bought yesterday WRT400N dual band router for better signal on the computer upstairs. Currently they are running 2.4G Linksys that is not strong enough for the computers on the second floor, but it works. So we did the setup, when it was setup, msg said that you can not get the IP address. We have tried cloning the MAC, including the firmware upgrade and nothing worked. I contacted an online support for Cisco and still no solution. What I got was heading back so I thought, the reason is more reasonable that something wasproblems with the hardware. Today I changed that one with a new one opened. I had exactly the same problem. I was on the phone with a technician for several hours and tried everything. I have a communication modem that Cox is also connected a phone line and I'm thinking that this could be the reason. If it worked, I'm sure it would work, but the only explanation to this problem is the modem that I have a mixture of cable and digital phone is not compatible with this product. Why areInternet at home, working fine, I have a router works fine, but this router does not work. No IP. I think Cisco should look into because I'm thinking there might be other people like me who has had a severe headache with it. I'm taking it again to store and get a repeater.

Bought this to replace an old D-Link router, taking on a new Cisco would be better. I was wrong. Set-up was easy enough, but that was about it. the router was slower than the d-link and after 3 months stopped working. lose its signal and ethernet connections would not work.
